Euchung
Ung, Chairman
A member of the Real Estate Group within Robinson & Cole's LandLaw
practice. He joined the firm in 2002 after working in New York City
for a number of years, initially with an international law firm, and
subsequently with a real estate equity boutique law firm.
Mr. Ung received his LL.B with honors from the
University of London, England, his LL.M. from Fordham University,
and his J.D. from Georgetown University. Mr. Ung is currently the
president of the New York-Singapore Association and a copresident of
the North American Chapter of the Fordham University LL.M Alumni
Association. He
resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife, son and daughter.

San Yu, Immediate Past Chair person
Born and brought up in Taipei, Taiwan, I moved to Hong Kong and
finished my high school and college education there. I graduated
with a BA degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Hong Kong
Baptist University and acquired a MA in Art History from University
of Kansas.
Translation is my special interest and I have translated from
English to Chinese the following books: The Theories of
Modern Art, by Hershel B. Chipp; Feminism and Art, edited
by Norma Broude & Mary D. Gerrard; The Earth Pack, by
National Geographic Society; and The Private Life of a
Masterpiece, by Monica Bohn-Duchen.
My goal for the Chinese Language School of Fairfield County,
CT, is to pass along the tradition and the beauty of Chinese
language to the younger generations here in America. |

Eng, Honorary Chairman
He has been a volunteer for Chinese School for over 15 years and
enjoy being with students very much. He currently resides in
Riverside with his wife, son and daughter.

Michele Baum is the Marketing Director and a Marketing Consultant with
Weinstein & Anastasio, PC, an accounting and consulting firm in
Woodbridge, CT. She is a graduate of
SUNY@Oswego
with a BA in Political Science. Michele has spent most of her
career in professional services marketing, her most recent experience
has been in the legal and accounting areas. She lives in Easton
with her husband George and son Gregory. Michele became
interested in CLS when her son, who is seven, asked to learn Chinese.
" I was so excited to find such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and I am
so excited to be a member of the Board of Directors and Marketing
Committee for the school". I look forward to helping CLS achieve its
goals and to its growth and prosperity."

She involved in CLS-FC since 1990, had served as past PTA chairperson,
treasurer and board member, with 2 children attended CLS. She is a CPA,
currently working as Financial Controller for a private equity firm. She
has a B.S. degree from U. of Pennsylvania and MBA from New York
University.

Peng Chen
Alice was born in Taiwan and graduated from National Cheng Chi
University with a BA in Banking. She taught 7th grade at Hsin-Chu
First Girl Middle School and then grew a career at the Bank of Taiwan, Head
Office. She moved to the U.S. in 1978 with her husband and children, and
obtained an MS in Computer Science at Lehigh University, PA in 1981. She was
a Senior Programmer Analyst and Data Base Administrator for 15 years at
several leading companies, including Honeywell, Westinghouse Electric Corp,
Merrill Lynch, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Kraft Food. At the same time, she
taught Chinese language on Sundays at Li-Ming Chinese Language School in
Fort Washington, PA.
Alice has been working at Contek International Corp. in New Canaan
since 1997 and continues pursue broad interests in philosophy, Buddhism,
Community Bible Study and psychology. After completing eighteen course
cycles over seven years with The Asian Classic Institute, New York City
(1997-2004), she taught Applied Meditation at Norwalk Community Technology
College from 2004-2005. She enjoys retreats and sharing the benefit of
meditation with others. After creating and sharing a slideshow at her
daughter wedding last summer, she was reminded of the value of Chinese
School for individual enrichment so she resumed teaching Chinese language in
the fall of 2005.
